Sur un post du 14 Novembre 2005, je découvre sur le cultissime blog du magazine Nerve un zoom sur les podcasts Adultes et un clin d'oeil à SexoPhonic!
Though iTunes does not, as yet, have a "Sex" heading for podcasts, the "Health" section plays host to a significant number of explicit, "adults-only" shows. Nerve intern Peter Smith boldly strapped on headphones for a round-up.
Sex and Podcasting — First selection in the realm of audio arousal turns out to be a decoy. "Sex" only present to draw casual browser's attention to host's rants on the subject of . . . podcasting! Sheepish feeling of being teased evokes actual sexual encounter. Thumbs up.
SexoPhonic Radio — It's in French. Boy, does it sound sexy! Could be a discussion of sound systems, though.
A Gay In The Life — Eddie Perez, eighteen years old, living in Houston, Texas, celebrates his year-and-nine-months anniversary with his boyfriend. "That rocks," he notes, then adds, "Sorry everybody, my nose kind of . . . is fucking up right now." Excitement factor: limited.
Polyamory Weekly – Should polyamorous people marry non-polyamorous people? Cunning Minx says yes!
Fetish Flame – Young, kinky couple Nova and Atticus discuss their kinks. Comical NPR voices call to mind unwelcome images of Saturday Night Live actresses in diapers. But sweet-natured advice on anal play is a rare treat.
PNSexplosion – When I was in high school some friends and I made a foot-long penis out of clay and blew it up in the woods using a mixture of model-rocket fuel and gasoline. Thankfully, no one was injured, though a baseball-sized testicle ended up twenty feet away. This podcast, despite its name, regretfully has nothing to do with the incident.
Fetish Radio – No match for Fetish Flame. Starts with a big fat slice of mullet rock. Host sounds like British muppet, says things like "arse-to-mouth."
Sex, Seduction, and Strip Clubs – Self-proclaimed "Seduction King" offers techniques for dealing with "psycho or vindictive women." Website says he's a therapist. Yikes!
Talk Hard – Despite "explicit" tag, more of a pop-culture ramble by a Chicago "digital media guru." Oh wait, I found the explicit! In his review of Elizabethtown: "I don't know, if I was Orlando Bloom, I'd be like, 'shut the fuck up, bitch!' Oh my God, Kirsten Dunst . . . shut the fuck up! I like you in the Spiderman movies, but please!" Compulsive non-listening.
At around this point in his research, young Peter began glaring at us with hatred from the intern corner of the office. "C'mon! It's fun! Think of it as hazing!" we cajoled. "Hazing was sending me to Saw II," he said. "This is torture."
